No Ordinary Light (Dank Haus, March 8- April 26th) invites us to experience light as something far more than brightness or warmth. It is a guide, a sanctuary, and a witness to transformation. Light, in all its forms—tangible and metaphorical—becomes a way to navigate uncertainty, to soften heaviness, and to reveal beauty within the imperfect. It holds space for both clarity and mystery, illuminating what is hidden while casting shadows that keep us curious.
Opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 8th from 2-4 pm. I will be showing two new sculptural weavings which embody the evolving nature of self over time. As markers of transformation, they reflect the fluidity of identity and memory, embracing the transience of being. Each piece stands in dialogue with the other, forming s duality that speaks to the tension between presence and absence, permanence and change. Through texture and form, I explore the metamorphic journey of personal evolution, where identity is shaped by the passage of time. The contrast between the two weavings captures the subtle shifts and contrasts within the self, inviting contemplation on the continuous process of becoming.
